Ex Kogi State lawmaker jailed for 154 years over N1.4bn fraud

  

 Today, a Federal High Court in Lokoja, Kogi State, convicted Gabriel Daudu, a former member of the Kogi State House of Assembly, of money laundering. He was found guilty of 77 out of the 208 counts pressed against him by EFCC.

He was sentenced to 2 years imprisonment on each count, to run concurrently. Daudu had been standing trial since April, 2010. The charges pressed against him by the EFCC bordered on conspiracy, advanced fee fraud and money laundering involving about N1.4bn…. wch is nt enough to pop champagne on a very good day….
