Cars used for operation burnt. A lady allegedly led the gang of robbers to the banks and she stayed outside the bank, sat down and was bragging while the operation lasted. Charms were tied around her neck, according to eyewitnesses. There were
about 15 of them and their ages should not be more than 20-years.
At Zenith Bank, the safe was reportedly broken with the use of dynamite and the staffs were made to lie on the floor while the robbery continued. Nobody was killed during the operation that lasted for almost 2 hours. They escaped via the ferry service operated beside Origin Gardens, a recreational place not far from the scene of the incident. The robbers also burnt the 3 vehicles they used for the operation….. in a manner reminiscent of how Jay Z burnt dt car inside d song, “Crazy in love,” where he was featured by Beyoncé……..
