Mary Ozalla, 22, a final year student of the Bio-Chemistry department UNIZIK was declared missing few months ago. Her parents showed up in school claiming not to have seen her either, so the entire department began to
organize daily prayer sections for her safe release as she was believed have been kidnapped.
But in a strange twist of event, EFCC, last week Thursday, arraigned one Mary Ozala at Lagos State High Court, Ikeja on a 4- count charge bordering on conspiracy and obtaining money under false pretense. Her accomplices, Nwokeke C. Chukwunonso, Shedrach Umeh and Uchenna Okpala are at large.
Her parents could not believe their eyes when they saw her on TV in hand cuffs. They had to go and wash their eyes at a nearby carwash to be sure their sight hadn’t failed them. Her colleagues are also equally shocked. One of them, in an interview with blogger, Laila, said: “Mary was a born again.
She doesn’t club or party and actually lead a block rosary prayer group on campus at Garba square. This is very shocking. I am confused.” Ozala, and her co-travelers are alleged to have hacked into the email account of the complainant whom they defrauded of the sum of N2m…… her only saving grace now is dt she paid her tithe……
