Ndifreke Femi, 30, has allegedly stabbed Ayomide Ayenuwa, a 28-year-old undergraduate, to death at Block 109, Ikota Housing Estate, Ajah, Lagos State, during a quarrel with her husband. Ndifreke, a mother-of-two, was subsequently arrested and the husband has disappeared.
Ayenuwa had reportedly gone to the couple’s apartment to pay his electricity bills. However, he met them quarrelling. The wife accused her husband of stealing the N20,000 she hid under their mattress, an allegation he it. Ayenuwa was said to have begged Ndifreke to take it easy. She, however, turned on Ayenuwa, calling him names.
Despite all entreaties, she refused to listen. She started abusing Ayenuwa. She told him to mind his business. One thing led to the other and she ended up stabbing him. The case has since been transferred to the Homicide Unit of the State Criminal Investigation and Intelligence Department, Panti, Yaba, for further investigation.
