According to PUNCHNG, Segun Borokini, pictured above, is a mechanic who got robbed by a gang led by the son of a traditional ruler in the Lakowe area of Ajah, Lagos State. The incident took place on Wednesday. The attackers, who were

armed with guns and cutlasses, dispossessed people of their valuables and injured many. Some members of the gang were identified as Saheed, aka Ejo, said to be the son of a traditional ruler (Baale) of a community in the area; Sima, Taofeek, Alaba and one Tunde, aka Oka.

It was learnt that residents had been indoors while an annual cultural rites, aka Oro, was being observed. The bandits cashed in on the curfew to attack mechanics and motorists found outside. Segun Borokini said: “They beat me up and collected my phone and N150k that a customer just gave to me.

I reported to the police and they told me to go and treat myself first. When I went back, I was told to pay N10k to facilitate their arrest. I left because I did not have any money to pay.” The Lagos State Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Patricia Amadin, confirmed that Segun reported the incident…… now dt d police r ready to work, Segun has refused to pay.
