BET and Multiple Vodafone Ghana Music Awards (VGMA) winner, Stonebwoy allegedly turned down an endorsement deal worth $80,000 ( N16m ) from Glo while Wiyaala turned down $15,000 ( N3m ). Stonebwoy and his
management believe the artist deserved more.
A number of conditions set in the contract were also rumored to be unfavorable to the artist. Such conditions include the inability of Stonebwoy to perform at events organized by competing brands such as MTN, Tigo and others.
On her part, Wiyaala, who currently charges around GHC 15000 ( N900,000 ) for a gig including her band, rejected the deal that came with strings attached. Glo’s allegedly proposed that Wiyaala won’t perform at any event sponsored by a competing company.
She would also charge half price for any shows performed on behalf of Glo and whilst she would travel First Class on Glo assignments, her manager would travel economy class…..
