President Buhari and Vice President Osinbajo just announced that will be a whole 50% of the salary approved for them by the Revenue Mobilization Allocation and Fiscal Commission. The President’s current annual remuneration is N14m per year, so with this decision, Buhari will
earn N7m per year. Senior Special Assistant to the President on Media and Publicity, Mallam Garba Shehu, said Buhari, by his action, was sending a clear message to Nigerians on the need to make sacrifices for the nation.
He said having done that for himself, the President was expecting other political office holders and indeed all Nigerians to borrow a leaf from him….. wt a promise to return it intact by d end of 2023 wen he is leaving office…..
