National Drug Law Enforcement Agency intercepted Ibiteye John Bamidele with $2,198,900 at the local wing of the Murtala Mohammed Airport in Lagos on the suspicion of money laundering. 46-year-old. He was on his way to
Abuja and claims the money belongs to Dr. Martins Olufemi Thomas, a Lagos-based medical doctor.

His words: “I used to work for Ebi Bureau De Change at Abuja before I established my company with the name ND&C Global Investment Limited which is yet to be fully registered with the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC). One of my clients, Dr. Martins Olufemi Thomas gave me the money to take to Abuja.” NDLEA says there is no connection between the money and proceeds from narcotic trade but for a country going through terrorism like Nigeria, it will be dangerous to ignore large amount of money being moved in cash.

He has been transferred to EFCC for further investigation…… after he turned to an NDLEA official n cockily said “Ever seen a million cash? U gotta count it carefully. Ever made love to the woman of ur dreams in a room full of money and she screams? Baby, I could take u there. Yeah, I’m on one, n d feeling ain’t fair.”……..
