Miss Splendour Joe Abisoye, 9, has officially presented a copy of her book, “Effects of Terrorism on Children,” to the Defense Headquarters. On her motivation to write the book, Splendour said, “These terrorists we see today were
once children like us. I want to catch children young now, so their lives won’t be miserable in the future.”
She seeks to use the Defence Headquarters as a platform to reach out to other stakeholders in the fight against terrorism in the distribution of her books and to send them to all IDP camps, Almajiri schools and all military schools in Nigeria. She was accompanied by her parents Rev. and Mrs Joe King Abisoye.
While receiving her, Maj.Gen. Chris Olukolade, the Director, Defence Information, urged parents to encourage their children to do the right thing to make them useful to the society. He said: “This is the kind of encouragement we need to give to our children.
Unfortunately, people give different kinds of encouragement to their children.
