In New Zealand, 4 Nigerians have been jailed for over 65 years in total

They are all members of an international drug cartel, who imported $2.5m worth of methamphetamine into New Zealand. They were bursted after their mule, Trevor Miranda, 69, was arrested. He was caught at Auckland Airport with $1.5m worth of
methamphetamine, stuffed inside shoes, and agreed to help police nab those behind the operation.

The 4 Nigerian-born defendants were sentenced yesterday and will be deported after serving a third of their sentences. They are: Nnamdi Augustine Iwu – 18 years, Ugochukwa Kingsley Okpara -16 years 2 months, Hyacinth Damus Ochibulu – 15 years 10 months, David Ikenna Obiaga ( the former president of the Auckland Igbo Association ) – 15 years 10 months…… renovation works av already started at their KiriKiri cell ahead of their arrival……
