Mrs Mary Joan Adeiekwe, 38, was arrested and charged to court for biting off the ear of her manager, Chinwendu Nkemakolam, for demanding her monthly salary after she was sacked. Chinwendu, a graduate of
Business Administration from the Lagos State Polytechnic, LASPOTHEC, was employed by Adeiekwe to manage her hotel on N25,000 salary every month.
She was sacked few months later without pay but asked her to come for her salary at a specific date. When she went to the hotel to collect her money, Adeiekwe got angry, grabbed her ear and bit off part of it. Before she could get to the hospital the piece of ear was already dead and doctors said it could not be stitched back.
The matter suffered several adjournments because Adeiekwe refused to show up for trial. Her counsel informed the court that they want to settle the matter out of court by paying the victim N25,000 being her salary and medical bills….. but Chinwendu is really worried dt she has been unable 2 hear d still voice of d Holy Spirit ever since d ear was bitten off…..
