W.H.O ranks the World’s Healthcare Systems and Nigeria is well seated at number 187 out of 190 with France occupying the number spot. In 1962, the University College Hospital, Ibadan was ranked the 3rd best in the Commonwealth, ahead of
most Teaching Hospitals in Britain. Even Saudi Princes used to come there with Health challenges.
Also, back in 1960, The Ashby Commission on Higher education described higher education in Nigeria as good as the very best in the world. Sir Eric Ashby actually suggested that in 1962 it was easier to get into Harvard than the University of Ibadan.
