Christine Atumuhiire of Madudu, Mubende district was arrested after approaching a witch-doctor in Mityana asking him to buy her baby and use it for rituals. Latiff Zaake, the District Police Commander said Atumuhiire had on
several occasions approached the traditional doctor with intent of selling a child to him.
The witch-doctor informed the police about Atumuhiire’s proposal. She was tricked into believing that the witch-doctor had got the money to buy the baby and then arrested. She said she wanted sh20m ( about N1.3m ) to enable her operate a small-scale business to earn a living….. I’m sure d price negotiation caused d problem. A tad expensive…..
